Neurotoxin injections
What you should know?
Neurotoxin injections have been safely used for over 20 years. Originally used for the treatment of eye spasms, it was co-incidentally noted that patients also experienced improvement of wrinkles around the eye after the neurotoxin injections. Neurotoxins are proteins that temporarily relax muscles to smoothen fine lines and wrinkles. We recommend doing these neurotoxins sooner rather than later, to prevent wrinkles from becoming permanent. Smaller quantities of the injections are recommended to give patients a softer and more relaxed look, rather than a frozen look. Injections are commonly given on the furrows of the forehead, frown lines between the eyes and crows feet at the sides of the eyes. These neurotoxin injections can also be used for slimming of the lower face and treatment of excessive sweating of underarms, hands and feet when topical and oral medications have failed. Neurotoxin injections are typically done once every 5-6 months.
